OBJECTIVES OF BGFF

	To promote the management of our native forests on an ecologically sound basis
	To continue to encourage the shift to plantations for the production of commodity timber and woodchips
	To preserve the diversity, health and extent of native vegetation and wildlife
	To assist in the rehabilitation of degraded forest areas
	To encourage an appreciation of forests as areas of intrinsic value
	To assist in the publication and distribution of species lists of flora and fauna to increase knowledge and understanding of the forests
	To work closely with organisations similar to BGFF in order to assist in the achievement of the objectives
